FAX POLICY

To enhance customer service, the Jasonville Public Library is pleased to provide a fax service to its community as an additional library offering.

1.      The Jasonville Public Library has a fax machine available for public use.  The fax number is 812-665-2025.  Actual operation of the fax machine is limited to Library staff.

 

2.      Fax transmission charges are $2.00 for the first page and $.50 for each additional page.  Only 8 ½” X 11” may be transmitted or received.

 

3.      Fax transmissions may be received as well as sent.  The price for receiving a fax is the same as sending a fax.

 

4.      Payment must be pre-paid at the Circulation Desk via cash only.

 

5.      Fax transmission/collection service is available only during the hours of the Jasonville Public Library is open.

 

6.      A call placed to a busy number will be resubmitted up to a maximum of 2 more times at no extra charge.  If the fax does not go through due to a constant busy signal, the patron’s money will be refunded.   Only the patron may determine the success of the transmission by calling the recipient to confirm the number.

 

7.      Transmission errors are common, and print quality is variable and not controllable by the Library.  The Library is NOT responsible for successful transmission of outgoing or incoming faxes, nor is the Library responsible for any damage, loss of data or consequential damage arising out of the use of this service.

 

8.      Documents will be held no longer than two weeks.  If patrons do not pick up documents, these documents will be shredded by Library staff.

 

9.      No International fax transmissions will be allowed.

 

Costs may be revised on an as needed basis dependent upon changing cost in phone lines, long distance fees and fax machine operation.
